Gabriel Schoone

Gabriel was born on December 29, 1999.  He is the second of three children and has two brothers.      
 
Gabriel’s home parish is Saints Martha and Mary Parish.  He attended elementary school first at Holy Sepulcher School for first grade then transferred to Saint Alphonsus School in Wexford.  He graduated from Pine Richland High School in 2018.  After high school Gabriel enrolled at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
 
Gabriel’s most recent employer was Treesdale Golf and Country Club where he worked a lifeguard. 
 
In Fall 2020 Gabriel was accepted into the priestly formation program to begin studies at Saint Paul Seminary and continue his studies at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
 
In Summer 2022, Gabriel participated in the Summer Priestly Spirituality Program of the Department for Pre-Ordination Formation.  He was assigned to Saint Mary’s Seminary, Baltimore, to begin theological studies in August 2022.
 
In Summer 2023 Gabriel participated in a Pre-Pastoral Year Summer Experience at Saint Jude Parish, Morningside/Shadyside/Stanton Heights.  In August 2023 he returned to Saint Mary’s Seminary, Baltimore, for his second year of theological studies.
 
In June 2024, Gabriel began his Pastoral Year assignment at Saint Jude Parish.
