How can we follow God’s plan for our lives and discover who we are? Jason Evert dives into these questions through his new book, Theology of the Body in One Hour. Evert unpacks St. John Paul the Great’s Theology of the Body, revealing God’s plan for human life and love. Both evenings will include Mass, a BBQ, and a discussion led by Father Mike Ackerman.

Young adults, ages 18-40, welcome.

No cost. Book provided. Spaces limited.

Come to praise God for the four men to be ordained to the diaconate and pray for an increase in priestly vocations at the Festival of Praise for Vocations! Bishop Zubik will preside over a holy hour and time of adoration. John Trabbic and his band will lead praise. There will also be opportunity for confession and a light reception.

June 23, 2018

College and post college men, come to enjoy Breakfast with the Bishop on Saturday, June 23 at 7:30 am in Synod Hall of St. Paul Cathedral. Father Mike Ackerman will speak on how to discern your vocation and Bishop Zubik will host a Q&A session. It all leads up to the outpouring of grace upon the Church to occur with the ordination of four men to the diaconate at 10:00 am.

July 15-16, 2018

What does it mean to be a Catholic Man? High school men, don’t miss Quo Vadis Days, two days dedicated to learning more about the priesthood, deepening your faith, and better discerning God’s call in your life. The retreat includes brotherhood, Mass, sports, adoration, and dynamic talks. All men entering 10th, 11th, 12th grades and freshman year of college are welcome.

Join the Vocations Office for a fun-filled day of rides, Mass, and a Festival of Praise at Kennywood Park! Mass Celebrated by Father Mike Zavage. John Trabbic and his band will lead praise. Father Mike Ackerman will emcee the event. All ages welcome. Tickets cost $23.

This summer, the Vocations Office presents Revolutionary, a young adult conference tailored to helping you discover God’s will for your life. Come for an awesome evening of Mass, talks, food trucks, a Vocations Fair, and a time of adoration. Nichole Abisinio, producer of the film Hacksaw Ridge will speak; Father Nick Vaskov will celebrate Mass; and John Paul Von Arx will lead worship. Vocations Director Father Mike Ackerman will emcee the event.
